Frequently asked questions
How is custom printing priced?
Every material is priced by length: the exact length your layout uses times the material's rate per yard, shown live while you design. There is no minimum and no fixed sheet size, so you never pay for empty space.
Is there a minimum order for printed fabric?
No. Fabric is billed by the exact length your layout uses, so you can print a single panel, a full set of cut-and-sew pieces or many yards of an all-over pattern.
How wide can my print be?
The print width is the material's roll width minus a 0.75" margin on each edge. The builder sets the layout to that width automatically and flags any artwork that goes past it.
What resolution should my artwork be?
Plan for 300 DPI at the printed size - about 3,000 pixels for a 10 inch wide design. The builder shows each image's DPI at its printed size and signed-in users can upscale low-resolution images for print for free.
Can I change the material after I start designing?
Yes. Click the material in the builder and pick another one. Your artwork keeps its size and place, the price updates, and anything past a narrower print width is highlighted so you can move it.
